#ChandrababuArrest: PV Ramesh Quits Megha!

Retired IAS officer and former Principal Secretary of the Finance Department in AP during Chandrababu’s government, Dr PV Ramesh, has resigned from his post as Advisor in Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) which holds government contracts in AP and Telangana governments.
In his resignation letter, Ramesh cited the personal reasons. He said the resignation is effective immediately i.e 11th Sep, 2023 and he addressed the resignation to MEIL MD Krishna Reddy.

This is after political controversy erupted when he had raised questions over the arrest of AP former CM Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the alleged skill development scam case. This is currently the most hot topic in AP politics. Ramesh’s comments added fuel to the ongoing rift between opposition and ruling parties.

For the unversed, earlier, AP CID has recorded the statement of PV Ramesh in connection with the case. Media reports are rife that CID booked cases against Naidu reportedly based on PV Ramesh’s statements to the CID.

He openly raised shock over the arrest of Naidu based on his statements. This resulted in the controversy as both YSRCP and TDP took sides on his statements over the ongoing hot issue.

AP government Advisor on public affairs and close aide of CM Jagan, Sajjala has responded to PV Ramesh’s shock and expressed that the case is on trial and asked to refrain from making comments when the matter is in the court and the investigating agency is probing the matter. Ruling party leaders have also condemned PV Ramesh’s comments.
