With the Telangana government giving green signal for resumption of RTC buses in the city, TSRTC has brought the buses on roads after a six months break. Initially TSRTC announced that it would run 50 percent of the buses from each depot but Telangana CM KCR has reportedly asked to cut down the buses.
Following CM’s suggestions, TSRTC has started operating 25 percent of buses from each depot. There are 29 depots and a total of 2800 buses in Hyderabad. Also the buses are sanitized and a paper is being pasted on the front windshield of the bus.
Also the TSRTC has resumed the inter-state services to Maharashtra and Karnataka states from today.
No to Andhra Pradesh
However, the TSRTC is yet to take a call to operate buses to AP. The talks between TSRTC and APSRTC have failed multiple times. TSRTC is very particular about running buses in AP and they want to cut down the number of buses due to losses. However, AP is not convinced with this.a
