The YCP government has signed an agreement with the International Baccalaureate to collaborate with the Department of School Education in Andhra Pradesh, and bring about transformative reforms aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, designed to open enhanced educational avenues for young people. Earlier, Jagan promised that soon CBSE syllabus is included in all government schools, now his sudden shift to IB raises many doubts by opposition. The partnership will give access to quality education to all the students in government schools in the state.
The project will explore the possibility of affiliating schools in Andhra Pradesh with the IB, strengthening the capabilities of educators through intensive training and developing a collaborative certification process at the board level for 10th and 12th-grade students.
The cooperation agreement will make the AP government and AI move towards the shared goals of making quality education accessible to all in Andhra Pradesh and underscores the IB’s unwavering commitment to the learners of India.
IB, which was established in the country in 1976, aims to herald a transformative era in education for the State and represents an extension of the IB’s innovative work around the world.
Educationists and intelligentsia in Andhra Pradesh appreciated the YCP government for its initiative and expressed hope that it would benefit the school students in a big way.
