Rallying For Chandrababu Hits Hyd Metro Trains

TDP supporters, rallying for the release of former Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, organized an unconventional protest within the Hyderabad Metro trains from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. They chose to wear black shirts and T-shirts to voice their opposition to Naidu’s arrest. However, tensions arose when they were denied entry into the metro stations due to their attire.

Police and metro security personnel cited technical issues and temporarily closed the Miyapur metro station. Nonetheless, after mounting pressure from the protesters, they eventually allowed them to travel on the metro rail. AP MLA Undavalli Sridevi showed support for the protestors at Miyapur metro station, expressing solidarity. The protesters, reportedly IT employees, faced resistance at LB Nagar station, prompting some to change into different clothes before joining the protests.

Naidu’s supporters have been conducting peaceful protests across the city for weeks, condemning his arrest. Several Telangana ruling party MLAs have also voiced their backing for Chandrababu Naidu. To maintain law and order, the police relocated agitators to a nearby police station in Madhura Nagar.

Meanwhile, a passenger on the metro questioned the protesters’ choice of venue for their protests, suggesting they protest in Vijayawada instead. The passenger emphasized the ongoing judicial process and urged them not to disrupt the metro rail journey.
