TDP – Janasena: The Real Challenge Ahead!

The TDP and Jana Sena have declared their alliance for the upcoming 2024 elections. However, there is buzz that the two parties might lock horns in the seat sharing process. Every constituency from which the Jana Sena might wish to contest would definitely be a stronghold of the TDP, taking into consideration its long standing in politics. While the TDP is a 40-year-old party, the Jana Sena is just a fledgling party, just completing 10 years. Further, it contested the elections only in 2019.

Now, the parties are contending over constituencies in Rayalaseema region. According to social media posts, the Jan Sena is vying to contest from a few constituencies in Rayalaseema in which the TDP cadre had done some ground work, to better their winning prospects. The constituencies from which Jana Sena has plans to contest include Tirupati, Chittoor, Srikalahasti, Alur, Allagadda, Anantapur, Puttaparthi, Rajampet and Railway Kodur. The TDP had been toiling since long to win from these constituencies.

The TDP leaders are reportedly in a shock when the Jana Sena has expressed its strong wish to contest from the constituencies in which they had put in a lot of effort for the last five years.

With TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu lodged in the jail in the name of remand, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and TDP scion N. Lokesh had readied joint action plan and are readying to campaign together.

There is buzz that there are high chances for Pawan Kalyan to insist on the sharing of constituencies as Naidu is in the jail. Had Naidu been outside, allocation and seat sharing would have been completely different.

Meanwhile, the TDP men are fearing how many seats would they have to sacrifice in the twin Godavari districts and North Andhra, given the number of constituencies being demanded by the Jana Sena in Rayalaseema.
