Most Confused Leader In Telangana!

YSRTP president Y.S. Sharmila was in for a shock when some of her party leaders not only quit the party but also raised ‘Sharmila Go Back’ slogans right in front of her party office.

A few YSRTP men, led by Gattu Ramachandra Rao, resigned from the party and also raised the slogans.

Till now, the YSRTP leaders who could not move ahead with the party had just quit it silently. Now, why did Gattu and others raise slogans against Sharmila?

Sharmila is a novice in politics and she seems to have no clear cut strategy about how to proceed in the political arena. This could be the main reason leaders are quitting the party. At one moment, she said YSRTP would have an alliance with the Congress but later the rumours popped out on merger.

Then she said neither was there any alliance or merger with the Congress and then she said her party would contest from all constituencies in the state. Three days after this announcement, she announced that her party would stay away from contesting the polls and said the move was aimed at preventing split of anti-KCR votes.

The leaders and cadre who exit from YSRTP shoots these questions to Sharmila. Why did Sharmila take out a padayatra for two years in Telangana? Does she not know that the presence of opposition parties would benefit the ruling party? Why did she declare that YSRTP would contest from all constituencies after parting ways with the Congress? Did she not know that the anti-KCR votes would get split at that moment? How is she able to appeal to the voters to vote for the Congress after that party humiliated her in the name of alliance and merger but finally, dumped her?

With no clear logic in her political thinking and strategy to win in the elections, the YSRTP leaders are finding it hard to stay in the party and quitting it. Even the public have been setting aside Sharmila and her party. Even if she contests the polls, there is no guarantee that her party candidates would win the deposits.

It can be said that Sharmila had tried to save her prestige by announcing that her party would stay away from the elections. Now, people will not believe in her words or deeds. It could be that her party leaders raised ‘Go Back’ slogans for the same reason.
