Why BJP Targets Congress Than BRS?

As soon as the election process commenced in Telangana, the IT department initiated raids that have raised suspicions of selective targeting. What’s particularly noteworthy is that all the attacks so far have been directed solely at Congress candidates, and they occurred on the very day these candidates filed their nominations. The residences, offices, and even relatives of Congress candidates like Parijata Narsimha Reddy, Kichchennagari Lakshmareddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Ponguleti Srinivasulareddy, and Vikrant Reddy have all been subjected to raids.

Given that all these attacks exclusively focus on Congress candidates, immediate accusations are being hurled at the BJP and BRS. Candidates and leaders from the Congress party are incensed, believing that these attacks on Congress candidates are orchestrated with the support of BRS and BJP, in collaboration with high-ranking IT department officials. Even though BRS and BJP are traditionally rival parties, Congress leaders are now raising questions about why both parties aren’t targeted. They find it puzzling that, if BJP candidates remain untouched, the BRS candidates should at least face similar scrutiny.

The ongoing pattern of IT attacks is fueling suspicions among the public, leading many to wonder if BRS and BJP are, in fact, working in unison. The contention is that real estate magnates, traders, and industrialists are all vying for influence across party lines, yet the attacks exclusively single out Congress candidates. Ponguleti, in particular, faced hurdles in the nomination process as authorities initially prevented him from filing his candidacy. It took an additional two hours to successfully submit his nomination.

Public discourse is rife with speculation that these incidents are orchestrated to harass Congress candidates. With the fear of impending defeat, it seems that the BJP and BRS parties are leveraging the IT department to create obstacles for Congress candidates. This perception is widely held among the people. Congress leaders are emphatically reminding the public that Kavitha’s arrest in the Delhi liquor scam did not occur due to collusion between BRS and BJP, further highlighting the selective targeting of their party in the election process.
