Munugode Bypoll Candidate Palvai Sravanthi Quits Congress

The Congress party in Telangana has encountered yet another setback, with the departure of Palvai Sravanti, the daughter of former minister and Congress leader Palvai Govardhan Reddy.

Despite her active involvement in the party over the past few years, she was notably denied a Congress ticket in the recent assembly elections, a decision that left her deeply shocked. Although there were discussions about key leaders trying to reconcile with her, it seemed that none paid any significant attention to Palvai Sravanti’s concerns.

In response, she made the decision to switch to a different political party, a move that was openly discussed. However, the Congress leadership appeared indifferent to her departure. Consequently, she formally announced her resignation from the Congress, expressing her reasons in a two-page resignation letter. Her father had been a dedicated party member for a considerable period, and she detailed her extensive contributions and hard work on behalf of the party. Furthermore, she criticized certain individuals for what she perceived as intentional efforts to undermine her in the past.

Palvai Sravanti is now set to join BRS party. She previously contested in the Munugodu assembly by-election held last year as a Congress candidate but did not emerge victorious. In light of these developments, it is understood that Komati Reddy Rajagopal Reddy returns to Congress, and this assembly seat designated for him.
