Can’t Criticise BRS & Congress, I Have Friends There: Pawan Kalyan

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan made some sensational comments during his campaigning at Kothagudem in Khammam district.

He declared that he would not criticise either the ruling BRS or the Congress as he has friends in both the parties. Some people are asking me to highlight the shortcomings of the BRS and Congress but I cannot do it, he said.

Soon, he tried to defend himself saying that friendship and politics are two different things but that he was refraining from casting aspersions on both the parties as he had not toured other districts in the entire state and does not know the ground reality there.

This statement from Pawan shocked many as just the other day, he said he was fighting against the rampant corruption in irrigation projects and many other high-cost schemes, indirectly hinting at the graft under the BRS rule.

However, he said that politics in Telangana were not different from that in Andhra Pradesh. Mistakes committed by the previous leaders are being repeated, he lamented.

He said that KTR (BRS) and Revanth Reddy (Congress) are his friends. Pawan, whose party is jointly contesting in eight constituencies in partnership with the BJP in Telagnana, participated in campaigning for the second consecutive day.

However, the Jana Sena chief pointed out that the BRS was focusing on Hyderabad and surrounding areas, neglecting other places in the state. “The real estate prices in Greater Hyderabad are increasing but what about other places? The paper leak incidents are disappointing many aspirants,” he pointed out.

He said that he was expecting a double engine government (BJP in the ruling both in the state and at the Centre) in Telangana as it would accelerate development in the state.

“Tenant farmers should also be treated with respect and all the government schemes be implemented for them,” he suggested.
