BRS Ministers staring at huge defeat

The suspense over Telangana assembly elections is likely to end in a few more hours as the counting for 119 constituencies is currently underway in full swing.

As per early trends based on the reports after the end of the third round, the Indian National Congress is likely to emerge as the single largest party with a majority in Telangana. From the beginning of counting, the Congress party clearly dominated in more than 60 Segments, which is the magic figure needed to form the government.

Meanwhile, the aBRS Ministersnti-incumbency on KCR’s party is clearly evident as many prominent BRS leaders are trailing in their respective constituencies. While KCR himself is trailing in Kamareddy with Revanth Reddy in outright ascendancy from the beginning, some prominent leaders in his cabinet are staring at huge defeat going by the current reports.

Key BRS ministers like Sabitha Indra Reddy, Errabilli Dayakar Reddy, Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Indrakiran Reddy and Niranjan Reddy are trailing by a considerable number of votes in their respective segments. It will be a big setback for KCR and his party if these ministers fail to enter the assembly as it will indicate their failure while holding significant cabinet posts in the last five years.

Out of 119 seats, Congress is leading in nearly 65 constituencies whereas BRS is ahead in 40 segments. MIM is leading in 3 constituencies and BJP is faring well in nearly 8 segments.
