“Andhra Pradesh was promised special status during the bifurcation by the then prime minister Manmohan Singh. Not implementing the bifurcation promise is not a good thing to do. I will fight in my capacity to bring special status to Andhra Pradesh.” Komatireddy said.
The Congress veteran made this comment while addressing the media in Delhi today. The newly appointed cinematography and Roads & Buildings minister of Telangana making this ‘special status for AP’ comment right after Congress formed the government in Telangana is a point to be noted.
However, the main thing here is that the BJP-led central government already reinstated that the special status for AP is a closed chapter and there is no use in pushing for this.
