CM In Money Laundering Case; Wife To Become CM?

Desperate times call for desperate measures and this is perfectly apt for the situation that the chief minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren is currently in. He is caught in a money laundering case and is now considering the option of stepping down and making his wife Kalpana Soren the new CM of the state.

Hemant is facing money laundering allegations and the severity of the issue is such that he is likely to step down as the CM after the ED summoned him 7 times already in connection with land grab and illegal sand mining case.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has shared a tidbit on this as he tweeted that Hemant could be stepping down soon as the CM and he could appoint his wife Kalpana as the new interim CM.

Not so long ago, BJP Karnataka CM Yediyurappa also had to step down after facing corruption allegations. Another CM now seems to be going down this road.
