Revanth Reddy embarks on a ten day tour

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy embarked on a ten-day-long tour today morning as he took off to Delhi from Shamshabad airport in Hyderabad. This is the first such tour after he assumed charge as the Chief Minister of Telangana following the historic victory of the Congress party in the third assembly elections of the state after its separation.

Revanth Reddy along with Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka landed in Delhi and took part in the AICC meeting chaired by Sonia Gandhi and other prominent leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. After this meeting, Revanth Reddy will accompany Rahul Gandhi who is going to kick off his Bharat Jodo Nyay yatra in Manipur today afternoon despite the government’s denial to provide security for this tour due to the prevailing communal tensions in the state.

Revanth will return to Delhi in the evening to leave for Davos in Switzerland along with a delegation to attend the World Economic Forum meeting. Every year, a delegation of the ruling party has been attending this high-profile summit which will witness the presence of numerous business magnates and industrialists across the world.

The Chief Minister is likely to pitch the roadmap and incentives to be provided by the newly formed government to attract investors. Previously, IT Minister of BRS, KTR used to represent the State along with his delegation at the Davos summits. This year, Revanth himself in the capacity of CM will lead the delegation consisting of Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, IT Minister Duddila Sridhar Babu and top bureaucrats like the principal secretary and OSDs.

After completing this summit, Revanth Reddy is likely to tour London for a couple of days and return to Hyderabad on January 23rd. He will soon kick start the preparations for parliamentary elections which are likely to be held in March this year.
