YCP Compares Congress With NOTA

YSRCP is presented with a new challenge after the entry of Jagan’s sister YS Sharmila in AP politics. She has been appointed as the new president of AP Congress yesterday and she will kickstart her campaign for Congress soon.

Today, YCP’s Gudivada Amarnath spoke with the media and was asked about the impact Sharmila, being Jagan’s own sister and late YSR’s daughter will have on AP politics.

Congress party is a gone case here. How does the party getting a new president matter? What effect can a new president have on a party that does not exist in AP? We are not bothered about the Congress party which has a lesser vote share than NOTA’, Amarnath said.

When asked if Sharmila could split the YSR vote bank, Amarnath instantly turned it down and said Sharmila would have zero impact on AP politics. He said Congress is irrelevant in AP and it doesn’t matter if Sharmila or anyone else is in charge of it.

All these months, YCP used to skip the questions regarding Sharmila by saying they are not bothered. Now, Amarnath has lightly changed the tone by saying Sharmila will not have any impact in AP. In the foreseeable future, we could see Sharmila and YCP indulging in a verbal war as the AP political battle intensifies.
