Watch: ‘Punch’ At Pawan Cartoons Goes Viral

Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy took part in the “Siddham” program in Bheemili today and as we published earlier, YCP activists brought wicked-looking cartoon flexis of Chandra Babu and Pawan Kalyan to the event. This was rightly pointed out by Twitterati as a bad practice and could lead to ugly repercussions and guess what, the worst fear has become reality.

In a set of viral videos, we see the cartoon flexis that were placed at Jagan’s meeting arena getting smashed and obliterated. In one particular video, we see a punching bag placed in front of Pawan’s cartoon and a man punching it repeatedly. The videos of these cartoons getting smashing are getting reshared on social media.

In the aftermath, TDP-JSP alliance supporters on social platforms are calling for Jagan’s cartoons to be placed at their meetings so that they can take revenge by thrashing them. And if something like this happens, it would mean that YCP has started an ugly-looking precedent of letting crowds obliterate the imagery of political leaders in broad daylight.

One can only imagine the kind of shameful scenes that could be seen if Jagan’s flexis get obliterated at TDP-JSP meetings in response to YCP followers humiliating Babu and Pawan Kalyan’s imagery. Is this the kind of trend that the people of AP should see before deciding whom to pick as their next CM? An angry political critic commented on social media.

The commonly mentioned point here is that it is alright for political leaders to verbally take on their opponents, which is a norm, but setting up flexis of opponents in their public meetings is not welcomed as it will result in shameful actions like seen in the videos.
