KCR’s 1st Deputy CM Leaves BRS

BRS has lost its first major politician to the Congress party and it is none other than the first deputy chief minister of Telangana, Tadikonda Rajaiah. He has announced today that he is joining Congress as he is unable to bear the mental trauma in BRS.

Rajaiah joined BRS after quitting Congress in 2012. He was made the deputy CM by KCR in 2014 after BRS stormed to power. But his political career was loaded with controversies, the most serious one being a lady Sarpanch accusing him of indecent behavior and harassment. This led to uncertainty on his career but he somehow managed to get the Station Ghanpur MLA ticket again in 2018 and won the election.

But the senior politician wasn’t given the ticket in 2023 and BRS high command indicated that the doors are open if he wants to leave. Today, Rajaiah decided to part ways with BRS and he is going back to the Congress party again after 12 years.

One of the reasons that is being cited behind this political move is that Rajaiah hoped to get BRS Warangal MP ticket in the coming Lok Sabha election but was turned down by the top leadership. This left the Warangal-based politician distraught and eventually led to him leaving BRS.
