After AP, BRS Closing Office In Another State

BRS boss KCR had national political dreams before the 2023 Telangana assembly elections and that is why he changed the name of Telangana Rashtra Samithi to Bharat Rashtra Samithi. He launched party offices in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra in the first leg of the national politics move. But this plan is completely dismantled after BRS’s tough defeat in its home ground, Telangana.

BRS has closed its shutters in Andhra Pradesh with the departure of BRS AP president Thota Chandrasekhar. The party has now shut shop in another state and that is Maharashtra.

BRS has met its end in Maharashtra with the mass exodus of leaders and cadres. After BRS lost the election battle in Telangana, the party lost its sheen all over and the national political aspiration came down crashing. BRS leaders in Maharashtra, who were hopeful after BRS surprisingly won a few Sarpanch seats in the local election, have assessed the defeat in Telangana and already moved to Congress, BJP, and Shivsena.

Notably, Maharashtra is the only state where BRS opened its offices after changing the party name. But in a matter of months, the party is shutting down offices everywhere outside Telangana.
