Revanth Ready To Arrange Helicopter for KCR

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, ministers, and MLAs are scheduled to visit the Medigadda barrage, a crucial component of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, on Tuesday. It is one of the much-awaited political developments in the state as it also surrounds controversy and allegations against the previous government. Revanth was even ready to arrange a helicopter for the leader of the opposition KCR’s convenience.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers, MLAs, and MLCs, will depart for Medigadda from the Assembly premises in buses. Revanth Reddy has extended invitations to legislators from all parties for the visit; the opposition BRS and BJP have opted not to participate.

Additionally, Revanth invited KCR to partake in the Assembly debate on irrigation projects. However, the BRS chief did not attend. He has also been absent from Assembly sessions since BRS lost power to Congress. Revanth Reddy strongly disapproved of KCR’s ongoing absence from Assembly sessions, labeling it an insult to Telangana society.

KCR is expected to attend a public gathering in Nalgonda on Tuesday. The BRS is organizing the event to protest the Congress government’s decision to transfer projects on the Krishna River to the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB).

Several piers of the Medigadda barrage had sunk a few months ago, prompting the National Dam Safety Authority to dispatch a fact-finding team. This incident had sparked controversy before the Assembly elections, with the then-opposition Congress leveling accusations of widespread corruption in the project.
