Uncertainty Haunts Ganta!

With TDP senior leader and former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s name missing from the TDP-Jana Sena alliance’s list, speculation is rife that he could tread the path of rebellion. Even the party cadre is of the opinion that he is likely to defy the party leadership which asked him to shift focus to Cheepurupalli in neighbouring Vizianagaram district.

Ganta is firm that he would contest only from Vizag – either from Pendurthi or Bheemili. Surprisingly, his name did not appear either for Cheepurupalli or the above two constituencies.

Meanwhile, minister Botsa Satynarayana made a sensational comment that he would defeat his rival, irrespective of his stature and popularity. In this context, it was speculated that Ganta would be fielded against Botsa.

But, his name is missing from the list. Moreover, Bheemili constituency demanded by Ganta has been allocated to the JS, as part of alliance. JS leader and MLC Vamsi Krishna Yadav is contesting from the constituency.

The other constituency asked by Ganta, Pendurthi also has been given to the Jana Sena. Panchakarla Ramesh Babu’s name was declared from the constituency. Even Gajuwaka has also been reserved for the Jana Sena. Party leader Sundarapu Satish Kumar was given the opportunity from the constituency.

Even the Vizag North constituency might not be left with the TDP because if the BJP steps into the alliance, party leader Vishnukumar Raju is likely to be the candidate. In such circumstances, it has to be seen how Ganta would respond during the upcoming elections.
