Jagan’s New List – Hot Hot 2 Seats

YCP president and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released yet another list with the names of a few party candidates various constituencies.

The names of two candidates evoked interest in the latest list.

They are Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, appointed as in-charge of Nellore Parliamentary constituency and Murugudu Lavanya appointed as Mangalagiri Assembly constituency in-charge.

The occurrence of Vijayasai Reddy’s name in the list is unexpected. Vijaysai was fielded from the constituency as the sitting MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy shifted loyalties to the TDP. Jagan could have keenly assessed the combinations and survey results and then taken this decision.

Earlier, there was buzz that Vijaysai’s son-in-law Sarat Chandra Reddy would be fielded as the MP. Suddenly, Vijaysai’s name came to the fore. However, there is no clarity if Vijaysai would be final choice or if there would be one more change.

If Vijaysai is finalised, then it can be considered that the YCP fielded a strong candidate. If there is a change and Vijaysai is replaced by Sarat, then the latter is a more strong candidate. However, he is accused in the multi-crore Delhi Liquor Scam.

TDP candidate from Ongole Magunta Srinivas Reddy is also one of the accused in the same case.

Murugudu Lavanya is a novice in politics but she hails from a political family. Her mother Kandru Kamala is a former MLA and her father-in-law Murugudu Hanumantha Rao is also a former MLA. It is being assumed that she would get a strong support in the political circles being a woman.

However, she has to fight against TDP scion Nara Lokesh. Having faced defeat in 2019 elections, Lokesh is determined to register victory this time and hence, this constituency is also a prestigious one for both YCP and TDP.
