Naidu vs Kavitha Arrest: Reddy Gives Tit for Tat

The arrest of MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy scam case has sent shockwaves throughout the political landscape. She has been detained under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The BRS party officials already started their protests in Telangana state but Telangana Minister, Congress leader Komatireddy Venkata Reddy has given a counter.

Earlier, when Chandra Babu Naidu was arrested in Andhra Pradesh, a lot of TDP supporters and CBN sympathizers held protests in Telangana state. It was during that time that ex-Telangana IT minister KTR commented that these people should protest in AP but not in Telangana.

The comments of KTR received criticism, and everyone felt that KTR went overboard in criticizing NCBN. Some even claim that it was a reason for BRS losing the election in the state.

Now, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy also commented, saying, “Telangana has no connection with Delhi Liquor Scam and the BRS leaders should protest the arrest of Kavitha in Delhi but not in Telangana. That’s what KTR told when CBN was arrested.”

According to a statement released by the Directorate of Enforcement official, Kavitha was arrested yesterday at 5:20 p.m., and she has been informed of the grounds for her arrest as per the provisions of the PMLA.
The arrest comes after a prolonged investigation into the alleged scam, signaling a significant development in the case.

On the other hand, Kavitha says that she will be fighting her illegal arrest in the Supreme court.

All in all, the BJP and Congress are having a good time criticizing the BRS leaders with the sudden developments in the liquor scam case.
