Twist! BRS’s MP Candidate To Join BJP?

Congress and BJP are repeatedly saying that BRS’s existence in Telangana politics is a gone case. Though BRS is denying this narrative, the party is having a tough time keeping hold of its representatives. To make matters worse, BRS is now likely to lose one of its confirmed contestants for the Lok Sabha election, Nama Nageswara Rao who was announced as the party’s candidate from Khammam.

Last week, BRS head KCR himself confirmed that the sitting MP from Khammam, Nama Nageswara Rao will be the party’s candidate here again. But the latest reports are suggesting that Nama, despite being announced as the BRS candidate from Khammam, might be leaving his party and switching sides to join the BJP.

As per reports, Nama Nageswara Rao might be leaving BRS in a day or two and subsequently join BJP. He has reportedly opened talks with BJP already and him joining the saffron party is only a formality now, say reports.

This is a concerning situation for BRS as losing an MP candidate after an official announcement from KCR himself will tamper the public image of the party and highlight its weakness. How will KCR deal with this tricky situation?
