CM Jagan In Addanki, But YCP Candidate Missing!

As we reported earlier, the Addanki assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh is more reliant on the prowess of the local candidate rather than the party lines. Sitting TDP MLA Gottipati Ravi Kumar aka Bujji hasn’t lost a single election here and he has been serving as Addanki MLA since 2009. Despite the Jagan wave in 2019, Ravi’s majority(nearly 13K) only grew bigger when compared to 2014(4.2K).

Strangely, CM YS Jagan worked out an unexpected tactic by bringing in Chinna Hanimi Reddy from Palnadu to contest against locally super-powerful Gottipati Ravi.

To make matters more concerning, Hanimi Reddy was nowhere to be seen in Jagan’s roadshow yesterday in Santhamaguluru which falls under the Addanki assembly constituency. Being termed as a non-local, Hanimi Reddy’s chances are already strictly limited against Gottipati Ravi, and on top of that, he has skipped Jagan’s meeting last evening which has further depleted the morale of the local YCP leaders.

This has led to local TDP cadres exhibiting confidence about Ravi’s victory and they are terming that the coming election in Addanki is only going to be a formality as Ravi’s win is already decided.
