No Bargain! Naidu Working Hard For RRR

Chandrababu RRR

Former YCP MP Raghu Rama Krishna has been the focal point of Andhra Pradesh’s electoral roll for the last few weeks. There has been a whole lot of speculation and debate about his candidacy in the election after BJP shockingly took away his Narsapuram parliamentary constituency ticket and gave it to Srinivas Varma. It was later speculated that he might get the Undi assembly ticket.

But this RRR saga has again taken another major twist after the high-level meeting between Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan, Purandeshwari and other key leaders of the alliance last morning. Reportedly, Naidu took the initiative of finalizing RRR’s candidacy without further delay.

Naidu reportedly point out that the reason why they gave the Narsapuram MP ticket to BJP is with the intention that they would welcome RRR into their party and allocate him the ticket. He expressed discontentment with BJP sidestepping and giving the ticket to someone else.

It is heard that Naidu then tried to amicably convince BJP by offering Undi assembly ticket in exchange of Narsapuram MP ticket. He assertively told them that RRR must be given the Narsapuram ticket as he is a formidable force here and his impact will fall not just on Narsapuram parliament segment but also the 7 assembly seats under this belt.

Naidu’s argument revolved around the positive impact RRR will have on Narsapuram and the 7 assembly seats which can be regarded as sure shot seats if he is the candidate here. The plan is to put a checkmate on YCP’s chances in West Godavari through RRR.

At one point, Chandrababu even mentioned that RRR getting Narsapuram MP ticket is non negotiable. If BJP doesn’t hold back and give the allocated ticket, then TDP would anyway announce him as their candidate regardless of BJP’s candidate here.

With an experienced statesman like Chandrababu insisting so hard on the Narsapuram ticket, BJP is in a dilemma as to how go forward. Following the meeting yesterday, it looks nearly confirmed that RRR will get the Narsapuram ticket.
