National Front: PK Meets KTR?

Election strategist Prashant Kishore (PK) appears to be moving forward with a concrete action plan to establish an anti-Congress, and anti-BJP front at the national-level with regional parties. Reportedly, he has met Telangana Rashtra Sami (TRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao to discuss about the front.

It should be remembered that Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president and TS Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been iterating that he would play a prominent role in the formation of anti-BJP and anti-Congress front at the Centre. He had even met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, DMK leader Stalin and former CM of Karnataka Kumara Swami but shelved his attempts suddenly.

In Telangana, the TRS is considering BJP as its main rival, as the Congress, the party leaders feel, is on the verge of obliteration. In the wake of such a situation, Prashant Kishore met KTR probably to include the TRS in the new Front.

In PK’s team, Rishi is an important person and his wedding reception was attended by AP Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his wife Bharati, which indicates that PK is in good terms with Jagan.

In fact, Jagan is trying to appear to be close to the BJP at the Centre and at the same time, he is also trying to keep up his closeness with PK.

PK worked for Jagan’s YCP during the 2019 elections and it is being believed that his multi-media campaigns and social engineering helped the party to register a thumping victory in the state.

PK is working with several anti-BJP parties across the nation. He is working as the election strategist for DMK’s Stalin in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena, Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress in West Bengal and Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi.

There are chances for Karnataka former CM H.D. Kumara Swamy also to join PK’s front. Former member of PK’s team, Robin, is already working with TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu. There are chances of Kumaraswamy listening to suggestions and advices of Naidu and KCR.

Weighing all the options and analysing the existing political situation in various states, PK is moving forward cautiously to make the new national front a success.
