One of the infamous fascinations of former chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy was the tendency to have his pictures printed on virtually everything related to Andhra Pradesh government. It was at a point where Jagan had his photos and printed on stationary supplies that were supplied to government school going students.
This was exposed in the Andhra Pradesh assembly today with the education minister, Nara Lokesh, taking a fair bit of time to shed light on these events.
Lokesh brought the peanut barfi, school bag, note books, and even eggs that were supplied at government schools during Jagan’s time as the CM. The common thing with these stationary supplies is that all of them have Jagan’s photo printed on them.
The fascination to have his images on school bags and even notebooks that were given to students has kept Jagan in bad light as so much so-centredness is never appreciated by the common public.
Many social media users, who were not accustomed to seeing these images of Jagan’s “bomma” fascination are now perplexed by the presentation of Lokesh in the assembly today.
Meanwhile, the NDA government has now introduced a new school uniform that has no political attributions and comes with a neutral green colour. Lokesh is very firm on keeping education system completely away from political spectrum.
