Blow After Blow For T’Congress Ahead Of GHMC Polls

The Telangana Congress is yet to recover from the humiliating defeat of the Dubbak by-poll. Just a week after this, the election for GHMC was announced and now the T’Congress is receiving blows after blows.

Going into details, prominent leaders are leaving the party. On Wednesday half-a-dozen leaders have quit the party and have joined the BJP. Among them are former MLA Bikshapathi Yadav and his son Ravi Yadav and former GHMC Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy. The other leaders are Anji Reddy couple who are a strong force in Pathancheruvu constituency.

T-PCC chief Uttam and Revanth Reddy held talks with Bikshpathi Yadav but they could not convince him to stay back in Congress. Meanwhile as soon as GHMC poll incharge for BJP, Bhupendra Yadav landed in Hyderabad, ex- Mayor Karthika Reddy joined the party in his presence.

Overall, the BJP is moving strategically. It is pushing the T’Congress behind and countering the TRS party by in-taking prominent leaders from other parties.
