Karnataka politics once again heated up after a reporter asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah about the much talked about 2.5 year power sharing deal. The buzz in political circles is that the CM chair would be shared between Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar halfway through the term.
When directly questioned by a reporter about the existence of a “2.5-year agreement,” Siddaramaiah remained politically cautious. He stated succinctly, “We will follow whatever the high command decides.” His response neither confirmed nor denied the pact, effectively placing the decision squarely on the shoulders of the Congress central leadership. The ambiguity ensures the suspense over the alleged power-sharing arrangement continues to grip Karnataka politics.
