Tollywood producer Ram Talluri, who is a close friend of Pawan Kalyan, was nominated as General Secretary of Janasena political party in October this year. He has been entrusted with the responsibility to look after the organisational affairs of the party and to strengthen the cadre in this position. After taking charge as General Secretary, Ram Talluri has reportedly been looking after all party related activities in Mangalagiri office.
According to the latest reports, Pawan Kalyan has assigned more key responsibilities to Ram Talluri ahead of the local body polls in Andhra Pradesh. Sources revealed that Ram is now calling shots with respect to various internal decisions within the party. He has been regularly organising meetings with state level party leaders from every constituency to finalize new committees in the place of the existing ones.
As both Pawan Kalyan and Nadendla Manohar are fully immersed with their ministerial duties and couldn’t spare time for the cadre and party affairs, Ram Talluri has been given responsibility to take key decisions for choosing candidates to various posts within the party and also for finalizing district level incharges.
Ram Talluri is said to be taking an active and instrumental role in the party’s preparation for the local body polls in both Andhra and Telangana. Pawan Kalyan is likely to take feedback and inputs from Ram Talluri before announcing candidates for local body elections in areas where the party has a strong presence.
Moreover, Ram has also been directed to engage with the cadre in Telangana state where the party needs to consolidate its base. He has also been tasked with handling organisational affairs of the party.
Besides Ram Talluri, Pawan Kalyan’s brother and MLC Naga Babu is also overseeing various party related affairs. But, Naga Babu is confined to Uttarandhra whereas Ram is managing overall activites of Janasena party in both Telugu states.
