The ruling NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh is showing clear signs of growing strength and coordination with each passing day. While the coalition partners had worked together earlier as well, recent developments point to a deeper and more structured unity at the ground level. Unlike the 2014 phase, when the alliance formed the government but internal cracks emerged within a few years, this time the coordination appears stronger, more mature, and better aligned. Notably, the opposition YSRCP’s earlier role in widening differences within the alliance does not seem to be having the same impact now.
This renewed unity has become more visible after Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared key guidance with Andhra Pradesh MPs, stressing the importance of cohesion and a focused political approach. Following this, coordination among TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena leaders has increased across districts, with leaders working together more closely than before.
As part of governance themed programmes linked to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth centenary, the BJP has been organising rallies nationwide to highlight Vajpayee’s leadership and governance model. In Andhra Pradesh, these programmes are increasingly becoming joint efforts, with leaders from all three alliance parties participating together.
Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has also clearly instructed party leaders to maintain unity and work in coordination with alliance partners, not just for the present but with future elections in mind. Acting on this direction, TDP leaders are actively joining BJP and Jana Sena leaders in public meetings, rallies, and governance outreach programmes.
From ministers and MLAs to grassroots workers, leaders from all three parties are appearing together at statue unveiling events, rallies, and public interactions. This visible coordination is boosting confidence within the alliance and sending a strong message at the ground level.
Chandrababu believes that if this momentum continues, the alliance will remain strong not only for the next election but for multiple election cycles ahead. Although unity had weakened in the past due to various factors, recent developments and clear signals from the central leadership have helped rebuild trust and coordination.
At present, the ground reality points to a more united and confident NDA alliance. If this consistency is maintained, the coalition is expected to enter the next elections with stronger organisation, clearer strategy, and greater stability than ever before.
