Hell Ends for Four AP Districts With One Bridge!

For nearly four years, people from four districts in North Andhra lived through daily travel trouble because of one broken bridge. The Visakhapatnam Rajam road, a key route connecting Odisha and North Andhra, was blocked after an old railway overbridge near Cheepurupalli became unsafe. As a result, thousands of commuters were forced to travel almost 50 extra kilometers every day.

The bridge issue badly affected people from Parvathipuram Manyam, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Visakhapatnam districts. What should have been a short journey turned into a long and tiring trip. Even though Rajam is just about 100 kilometers from Visakhapatnam, people needed more than five hours to reach it due to long detours through villages.

A new bridge was started earlier, but the work moved very slowly. After the NDA government came to power, the project gained speed. Coordination with the Railways improved, funds were arranged, and the construction was completed within a year.

The bridge is set to open on January 10 as a Sankranti gift to the people. This single bridge will save time, reduce travel stress, and restore a major road link for four districts. For thousands of families, the long nightmare has finally come to an end.
