‘Maha Papam’ Flexis on Jagan Goes Viral!

The Tirupati Laddu controversy has once again triggered political heat in Andhra Pradesh, with flexi banners targeting YCP & Jagan going viral on social media.

It may be recalled that allegations were earlier made that adulterated ghee was used in the preparation of Tirupati laddus during the YSRCP government’s tenure. Following these claims, the ruling NDA government ordered an investigation into the matter.

According to findings cited by the CBI led SIT, adulterated ghee was allegedly used in laddu preparation during the previous regime. Based on these claims, leaders from the TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP have strongly criticised YSRCP leaders.

In this backdrop, flexi banners appeared in many constituencies. The banners in Piduguralla town displayed “Maha Papam Nijam.” The flexis claim that 68.17 lakh kilograms of adulterated ghee were used to prepare Tirupati laddus and that nearly 20 crore laddus were made using the same. The banners also allege that Rs 251 crore went into the pockets of YSRCP leaders.

Photos of Jagan, former TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, and YV Subba Reddy were printed on the flexis. Images of these banners have been widely circulated on social media platforms.
