For a question asked in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, the Ministry of Information & Public Relations (I&PR) gave an answer that reveals the gross misuse of Public money towards the Political needs of YSR Congress during Jagan‘s regime.
According to the Answer, a total of 2 Crore Rupees was transferred to the Three Autumns Leaves and A Story LLP, the makers of Yatra 2 in the pretext of video making of Government Schemes and Programs.
Upon the Forensic Examination of the Accounts by the Investigation Department of Chandrababu Naidu Government, it was revealed that the amount received was disbursed to the accounts of the cast and crew of Yatra 2.
That means it was established beyond doubt that the amount was a quid pro quo arrangement for making Yatra 2 which was supposed to benefit YSR Congress ahead of the 2024 elections.
Yatra 2 is the story of how Jagan Mohan Reddy came to Power after his father YS Rajasekhar Reddy after a walkathon. It was supposed to influence the electorate of Andhra Pradesh just like how Yatra did.
APCID is investigating the matter and once established, Mahi V Raghav, the filmmaker of Yatra 2 may have to face legal consequences including the recovery of funds.
Back then, Jagan even tried to give a land for a Film Studio to Mahi V Raghav in Horsley Hills but the proposal got blocked after Public criticism.
This is a Prime Example of how Public funds were misused between 2019 and 2024. In this case, Yatra 2 was a box office disaster and failed to make any impact on the General Elections.
