Kannababu Out! Is All Good At Amaravati?

In the AP cabinet, Minister Narayana has built a reputation for quietly getting things done, especially in key capital Amaravati development works. He has been actively focusing on Amaravati projects and closely monitoring execution.

However, friction has been growing between the minister and CRDA officials. The latest development is the transfer of Kannababu, who was brought in as CRDA Commissioner with high expectations. His exit comes within a short span, continuing the trend of frequent changes in this key post.

Sources suggest Kannababu was unhappy over reduced powers and the shifting of responsibilities to other departments. Differences with the minister reportedly widened over time, making his continuation difficult.

Earlier too, another commissioner faced a similar situation and was replaced within months. Despite these repeated changes, the minister’s approach has remained unchanged.

A new senior IAS officer has now taken charge, but constant reshuffles are raising concerns about delays in capital works. Still, the minister appears firm on his decisions, prioritising control and speed over continuity.
