Andhra Pradesh Assembly unanimously passed a Resolution marking Amaravati as the Capital of Andhra Pradesh.
The Union Cabinet will be ratifying it and then, a bill will be tabled in the Parliament to give legal sanctity for the Capital. The Reorganization Act will be amended if necessary.
The Opposition Party, YSR Congress has skipped the Assembly when the House was discussing the Subject.
It was YSR Congress that necessitated this resolution by creating a confusion over the Capital in the name of Three Capitals.
Later, the People rejected the idea thoroughly and we have seen YSR Congress lose even in Vishakpatnam which the party projected as the Executive Capital of Andhra Pradesh.
The other day, Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy came before the Press and told that they are not averse to the idea of Amaravati as the Capital but they are only opposing the Corruption of Chandrababu Naidu in the name of Amaravati. YSR Congress is probably the only Political Party that does not have a proper opinion on the issue.
The Capital is an issue for Generations to come. When the House was discussing the matter, YSR Congress should have participated.
With eleven seats, they may not have the power to impact the output but they should have marked their protest. They should have told their apprehensions over the Project to the people of the State. But Jagan as usually avoided the Assembly.
The History will remember YSR Congress as the party that skipped the Assembly for a Petty Reason like not having Cabinet Status for Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Three Capitals is one of the Biggest Policy Matters of the Previous Government. The way how Jagan Mohan Reddy could not even defend his own policy is an indication of how the previous regime is an indication of how pointless and meritless the Policy is.
