Official: Lifeline Amaravati Safeguarded From Jagan!

One of the most unexpected and detrimental activities committed by previous chief minister, YS Jagan is the three capitals proposal. The idea of dismantling Amaravati capital project did not just ruin his party’s prospect in the election, but also pushed Andhra Pradesh as a state many years behind as it ended up being a capital-less state for 5 years.

And now that the NDA government has returned to power, chief minister Chandrababu and his administration is not taking any chances with Amaravati.

On one hand, the Chandrababu government is actively bringing multiple investments to Amaravati and developing the social economic infrastructure here, and on the other, they’ve legally safeguarded Amaravati from any future governments.

The government of Andhra Pradesh has approved the bill to officially recognise Amaravati has the capital of the state in legislative assembly today. This is a crucial step in forwarding the procedure to the union government, which would soon be issuing a gazette notification which would recognize Amaravati as the capital of the state at the central level.

This is not just a precautionary measure to save the capital from any future government, including Jagan’s YCP ruining it with random ideas, but also grant central recognition to the same. This is an official procedure to ensure the prospect of the capital but also make sure the people of AP don’t have to deal with a capital issue in the future.

The last time Jagan was the chief minister, there was a lot of destruction in Amravati as the Praja Vedika building was brought to ground. The roads got cracked up due to non maintenance, and the projects were stalled beyond count which led to severe “ghost town” vibes here.

But with this new legislation and the official procedure, Amaravati is going to have a resounding advantage of being the sole capital of the state.
