Shocking: YCP Minister Beat and Abused Council Chairman?

One of the most infamous implementations of the previous YCP government in Andhra Pradesh was the radical three capitals proposal. The previous administration tried their best to move the capital of Amaravati and alter the administration to three cities. 

However, this move was blocked in the legislative council back in 2020, despite the best efforts of YSR Congress MLCs. This resulted in extreme confrontation inside the legislative council and the chairman of the house then Sharif who belonged to TDP was grossly abused and physically attacked by YCP MLCs.

Now nearly 6 years after the horrifying incidents that happened inside the legislative council that day, Sharif has opened up in front of the media and he has shocking revelations to make on the same. 

“Except for the chief minister, every other ruling party leader pressurised me extremely that day. One particular Minister physically assaulted and hit me on my chest. His fellow party members, abused me and questioned by birth by using extreme slurs against me. It was an extremely traumatising experience, and I only believed in Allah my God to come out of it.” Sharif said. 

It is shocking to note that YSR Congress MLCs had the audacity to physically assault and verbally abuse the council chairman without any human decency or conscience while attacking an elderly member of the council. 

YCP leaders faced several complaints about troubling public and opposition party cadres on multiple occasions. But the fact that they have gone to attack and assault, the council chairman inside the legislative council regarding the three capitals proposal is as shocking as it can get.
