‘MA-VI-GUN’ – Ambati Makes The Situation Even Worse

YSR Congress Party seems to be digging its own grave by making foolish comments on Amaravati, for which the Parliament has recently passed a bill to officially designate the city as the sole and permanent capital of Andhra Pradesh. 

It all started with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s recent strange proposal of a new capital corridor connecting Machilipatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur and labelled it as MaViGun. His idea immediately received sharp backlash from all quarters including his own supporters. Political analysts and common people started mocking this shocking proposal. 

While the YSRCP cadre on ground is yet to fathom Jagan’s rationale behind such a horrible stand, party leaders appear to be making the situation even more worse with their hasty statements extending their support to MaViGun. 

Now, Senior YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu rallied behind Jagan and claimed that MaviGun is gaining immense public support day by day. He stated that the proposal put forward by Jagan is viable and can transform the statement economy. He also said that building Amaravati is unrealistic and never-ending process.

What is more shocking is that Ambati further went on to claim that the bill on Amaravati can be amended in future again if needed and the then ruling party wishes to change the capital. 

At a time when Jagan’s MaViGun plan has seriously backfired and created more trouble for the future of YSRCP, these unnecessary statements appear to add more fuel to the fire and result in severe criticism within the public of Andhra Pradesh. 

Even after the three capital idea was firmly rejected and the humiliating defeat in the 2024 elections, YSR Congress Party appear have not learnt any lessons as they repeatedly indulge in provoking statements against Amaravati. 

Majority of the people including hard-core YSRCP supporters came to the conclusion that the capital of Andhra Pradesh has for now and forever fixed and cannot be changed. But, the YSRCP leaders including its president Jagan Mohan Reddy still try to gain political mileage by projecting alternative ideas only to get trolled every day just like it happened during 2019-2024.

Instead of taking steps to control the damage, YSRCP is creating more damage by defending the stupid MaViGun plan.
