Three Capitals To MAVIGUN: How Jagan Easily Changed Post?

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed the Public representatives and cadre of Tadepalligudem Assembly Constituency earlier today in his Tadepali Residence.

Addressing them, Jagan made further critical comments on Amaravati and supported his MA-VI-GUN idea.

“Even if ₹2 lakh crore were invested in Amaravati, it would not become a capital city for another 20 years. However, if just 10% of that amount were spent to build ‘MA-VI-GUN’, it would generate employment opportunities for the youth right there,” Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

Keeping aside, the debate of what is good and what is bad.

It is amazing how Jagan effortlessly changed the post so easily from Vishakapatnam to MA-VI-GUN.

In December 2019, Jagan Mohan Reddy first made the announcement of the three capitals in the Assembly. Before that, there were no meetings or consultations happened within the party or the Government on the issue.

Three Capitals was just a facade but it is all about Vishakapatnam as the Capital. YSR Congress was defeated in all areas including Vishakapatnam in 2024 elections.

From then, Jagan did not speak a word about Vishakapatnam or three capitals and all of sudden, he took MA-VI-GUN in a Pressmeet last week.

Even before that, there is not even a trace of discussion or debate in the party about the issue.

We have seen Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy tell the media that is nobody’s idea and it is Jagan himself who thought about it.

It is appalling how Jagan changed his stance so easily on such an important matter without holding any consultations.

We are talking about the Capital which is a decision that will impact generations.

At least he should have explained why MA-VI-GUN is a better idea than the three capitals or Vishakapatnam as the Executive Capital.

All of sudden, he comes up with MA-VI-GUN and the entire rank and file of the party should parade after him without any questions.

But will people change their opinions so easily? Probably not.
