Can Kavitha Become Amma Like Jayalalithaa?

Kalvakuntla Kavitha announced her new party: Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS). As expected, she aims to stir Telangana sentiment by using the popular name ‘TRS’.

She is targeting the BRS Party more because her core support base aligns with that of the BRS on the basis of Telangana Sentiment.

As far as the personality is concerned, Kavitha seems to be drawing the inspiration of Late Jayalalithaa in Tamil Nadu.

She already started having attire and hair style resembling Jayalalithaa and she announced she wants to emerge as ‘Amma’ of Telangana People.

“I am heartfully saying one thing. I want to become Amma of 3.5 Crores of Telangana Biddas. When we rule the state like Amma, only then, the heart breaks seeing the suffering of the people. Only then, the suffering of the people will come to an end and the state will move forward,” Kavitha said.

Amma is a powerful key word in politics. If a woman politician is able to strike that sentiment, there is no stopping.

Jayalalithaa did that in Tamil Nadu. Mamatha Banarjee invoked the Didi emotion in West Bengal. Can Kavitha be the ‘Amma’ in Telangana Politics?

To be able to become ‘Amma’, age is a big problem for Kavitha. Even though she is 48, she looks younger.

Late Jayalalithaa is a heavy-built personality and used to have a pleasant face because of the simple sarees she used to wear and also, because of the fact she never got married.

Even though she faced severe allegations of corruption, she always appeared like she renounced everything.

Kavitha may not stir that pleasant, austere, and simple feeling, Jayalalithaa used to draw. But then, it is just the start of her political career.

She is wise and experienced. She emerged from the grassroots due to her participation in the Telangana movement and Telangana Jagruthi.

Also, she is a good orator and is known for her relentless approach. So, Kavitha will not let go of her ambition easily.
