After Students, Lokesh Sending Teachers to Singapore

Andhra Pradesh is witnessing fresh changes in its education system under the leadership of Nara Lokesh. After focusing on improving student learning in recent months, the government is now turning its attention toward strengthening teachers.

In a new initiative, the State Education Department has selected 37 top-performing teachers and is sending them to Singapore for a one week training program. The aim of this visit is to help teachers understand modern teaching methods used in advanced education systems.

During their stay, the teachers will closely study digital learning techniques, smart classrooms, project-based teaching, and new evaluation methods. These practices are widely used in Singapore schools and are known for improving student understanding and engagement.

Recently, the government also took a group of students from AP government schools on an educational trip to New Delhi, where they visited key science and learning centers. That initiative gave students real world exposure and helped them understand subjects beyond textbooks. Now, by focusing on teachers as well, the government is trying to strengthen both sides of the education system.

After returning, these teachers are expected to bring back the best ideas and apply them in government schools across Andhra Pradesh. The government believes this step will help improve the overall quality of education and create a better learning environment for students.

This move shows a shift in focus, from only supporting students to also empowering teachers, which is seen as a key factor in building a strong education system for the future.
