India is a largely secular country by nature. But when it comes to safety for women, there are many shortcomings and disturbances that create a problematic environment.

Now we have the case of an extremely problematic incident that happened at the Kerala Congress headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram, where a female MLA had to face a detrimental situation.

In this video, that is going viral on social media, a Kerala Congress senior leader Cherian Philip allegedly attempted to hug newly elected Kollam MLA Bindu Krishna despite her apparent reluctance during a legislative party meeting.

This female MLA Bindu Krishna is an advocate by profession, and she was entering the Kerala Congress office earlier today. However, the mentioned Philip tried to hug her forcibly despite her reluctance. She somehow managed to escape from his class and get out of this problematic situation.

This has immediately led to a discussion about the safety of female legislators and public representatives even in public places. People are unanimously calling out the male individual for creating such a situation.
