It’s already known that the KGF – Kolar Gold Field in Karnataka attained a lot of value earlier. This name KGF might’ve turned famous after blockbuster film from Yash and Prashanth Neel but it was one of the biggest gold production projects in India prior to 2000s.
While the legacy of KGF is undeniable and is one of the highest performing gold production projects in India not too long ago, Andhra Pradesh is preparing for one of its own gold production projects now.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu revealed that the Jonnagiri Gold Field in the Kurnool region will be one of the biggest production facilities in the country.
This is a mega project that deals with precious gold production and it will reduce India’s dependence on global market for gold procurement. Considering that the Indian government has imposed restrictions on gold import and procurement, this mega project in Kurnool is going to be a game changer.
Domestic production of gold and other precious metals is going to be the future of India and it’s good to see AP lead the race in advance.
Chandrababu ambitiously revealed that the JGF in AP will produce 600 kgs of gold this year. Thus production scale will be bumped up to 1500 kgs in 2027 which will make it one of the most effective gold producers in the country once it’s fully operational.
AP has been leading the foundational and instating level industrial and IT infra development in the country with nearly 25% of all of India’s development projects heading to the state. Now this industrial growth of precious metals market of gold in the form of JGF is going to create a big boom in the market.
