Ebola Virus Outbreak: AP Govt On High Alert!

It wasn’t long before the entire world suffered the consequences of Covid outbreak, which changed the entire living systems and societal structure. Ever since, there have been multiple cases of other virus outbreaks that have been threatening the social order.

Now we have the case of possible Ebola virus outbreak that has put Andhra Pradesh, government authorities on higher alert.

Minister Anagani Sathya Prasad briefed the Media on this topic after the world health organisation instructed that all the countries must be aware of the Ebola virus situation and continuously monitor their health care facilities.

Sathya Prasad confirmed that the authorities at the Vizag, Tirupati and Vijayawada airport have enhanced the medical screenings and are actively identifying potential victims.

If anyone has seen exhibiting the symptoms of virus, they are being immediately shifted to quarantine centres and are provided with medical support.

According to a leading health expert in India, initial symptoms include fever, headache, body aches, sore throat, backache, and subsequently, drowsiness, altered behaviour, bleeding can start. The fatality rate of the Ebola virus is 50%, which means that potentially one out of every two people could die from it.

Andhra Pradesh authorities have made it clear that they are screening the travellers from high risk countries and taking necessary measures to identify and isolate them.
