The other day, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy unveiled Legendary NT Ramarao’s Statue in Ameerpet Junction and renamed the junction as NTR Circle.
This has created a stir in the political and media circles because Revanth Reddy is a Congress Chief Minister and NTR started the Telugu Desam Party opposing the Party.
But then, Revanth Reddy handled it very gracefully.
In his address at the event, he spoke about how important it is to transcend boundaries in respecting legends like NT Ramarao.
He criticized those who are trying to paint this as Andhra-Telangana issue and TDP-Congress issue.
He also mentioned about how NTR nurtured many prominent leaders from Tummala Nageshwara Rao to Kadiyam Srihari cutting across caste and class lines.
In the same address standing just before the statue, he also praised Indira Gandhi sky high satisfying the Congress Supporters.
BRS became close to Andhra voters in their tenure but they completely mishandled them ever since Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest.
Even in recent times, BRS is making anti-Andhra comments to rake Telangana sentiment.
While BRS is losing the voters of settlers, Revanth Reddy is trying to give an impression that everyone is equal to him.
He is cementing the vote-bank of TDP and Andhra Settlers which he has got in 2023 elections.
That is what a smart politician would do.
