Vangaveeti Ranga’s Daughter Asha Kiran seems to be silently preparing ground to foray into Politics. She is working with a target to contest 2029 elections. She is planning to open an office very soon to be accessible for Ranga Supporters.
Late Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga won twice from Vijayawada East and his wife Ratna Kumari won once.
It is the only constituency where Radha won the only time (2004) in his political career. Radha is currently in TDP.
In 2024, there were rumors that Asha Kiran will contest on YSR Congress Ticket but she remained silent. She has started working silently.
There were reports that there were divided opinions in the family about her political entry and so it did not happen in 2024.
Asha Kiran started touring the constituency since an year. She is frequently meeting the members of Ranga – Radha Mithra Mandali. She also held a meeting in Vijayawada and also attended Kapu Vanasamaradhanas in nearby areas.
Asha Kiran is working in Vijayawada Central Constituency. Reports are that she will open office here itself.
The office maybe inaugurated on 13th of this month or July 4th on the occasion of Ranga Jayanthi.
It is a surprise why she chose Vijayawada Central over Vijayawada East where the family have grip. Radha contested from Central constituency and lost twice.
Radha did not contest in the last two elections and so, Asha Kiran wants to declare herself as the heiress of Vangaveeti Ranga by entering politics.
We will have to see which party she will choose to join. There are rumors that both YSR Congress and Janasena are in touch with her.
