Tamil Star Thalapathy Vijay might be the first time chief minister of Tamil Nadu, but he is acting very smart when it comes administrative decisions and also political tactics. He is silently preparing the stage for outright domination in the assembly and is working accordingly.
Interestingly, a total of six MLAs from the AIDMK have resigned to their position till now, and they are moving closely with the TVK. It is a matter of time before they switch loyalty to TVK and contest in the upcoming by elections that would be mandated.
There are social media reports that Vijay is patiently waiting for a total of 10 MLAs from other parties to resign their positions, and then switch to the TVK before contesting the by election. What this would essentially do is grant the Vijay administration absolute power in the Assembly and the TVK will be an independently strong force.
This is obviously a risky route, but it appears that Vijay is fully prepared to take this risk for adding 10 MLAs to his arsenal. The election result that would be coming out would also be a mandate for Vijay’s early months as the chief minister and will provide him with a perfect assessment of the public verdict.
This is just a vague theory based on multiple social media reports for now, but there is a possibility that this might actually turn out to be the case in the reality as well. It will all come down to the decision taken by Vijay as he is deciding factor here.
