One of the YSR Congress leaders who frequently crossed the line during Jagan’s tenure as Chief Minister was Kodali Nani. He repeatedly used abusive language against Chandrababu Naidu and his family, while also facing allegations of involvement in anti-social activities.
On that note, a police case was filed against him for abusing Chandrababu and that election Commissioner of AP Nimmagadda Ramesh during the 2021 local election. However, nearly 5 years after the original incident, this case gained momentum with the police opening the file and initiating action.
However, Nani has managed to mitigate this case rather early as he got a favorable judgement at the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Immediately after the police department and the authorities opened this case, Nani approached the High Court and managed to get a favourable order. The court remark that there is no need to take expedited action on this case now and asked the department not to arrest or press aggression on Nani at this point in time.
While several other YSRCP leaders like Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Ambati Rambabu and others had been facing the music for their misdeeds from Jagan’s time, Kodali Nani is somehow managing to escape every time.
The last time Nani was expected to face the police consequences, he took a detour by undergoing open heart surgery in Mumbai. Now he has managed to escape from a reasonably significant election period case by approaching the court.
