Many leaders who had worked with YS Jagan in the past, had publicly commented that he is extremely monopolistic and monotonous with his approach. He generally does not refer to take feedback or second opinion on political affairs, and that is the way he likes to operate.
Now it appears that this monotonous approach has been applied by Jagan, even with regard to MAVIGUN. There are inside reports that Jagan might have shocked even the YCP working cadre and top leadership with this announcement on MAVIGUN.
The inside talk is that even YCP top leadership was not prepared for this announcement from Jagan where he said his party motive and election campaign will revolve around MAVIGUN capital. This is perhaps a reflection of the earlier comment made by Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, where he said Jagan did not discuss the capital prospect with any of the YCP leaders and it was his one-man decision.
And the nature of the announcement from Jagan regarding the capital was also very spontaneous. It wasn’t like he staged the announcement on the spot while reacting to a question from a journalist.
Ideally, if Jagan had such an intention, he could have held a massive public meeting or a party level conclave like plenary to announce MAVIGUN as his campaign motive. But he randomly put it out in a media conference and dropped it like a bomb rather than a calculated mechanism.
Now those who have closely watched what has happened and Jagan’s body language, while announcing the same, not saying that it might have come out of the spark of the moment. If that really is the case, then there is no going back for YCP from here, despite all the negativity that has amassed against this forced move.
While the NDA is doing everything they can to make it happen for Amaravati by even getting the gazette notification in the Parliament, we now have the case of Jagan, who made a hurried announcement on MAVIGUN.
