To set a strong precedent and end the abusive culture in the name of freedom of speech, Andhra Pradesh police have arrested a couple of individuals like Prashna Ravan for their foul-mouthed comments on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Dy CM Pawan Kalyan.
Among them is controversial YouTuber named Bachalakuri Joseph, who is well-known online as Prashna Ravan. He was arrested by Pithapuram police for his highly objectionable lang0uage against Pawan Kalyan during a recent public meeting. Though the Court subsequently granted him bail, Ravan is being immediately arrested again in other cases.
Meanwhile, advocate Jada Sravan Kumar stepped in to argue on behalf of Ravan in all these cases. He has been fighting hard to ensure that Ravan secures bail. Amid all this legal battle, high drama prevailed on Friday night.
Around 9:00 PM, Ravan was brought to the Machilipatnam court directly from the hospital. The police were present to submit his case records to the judicial authorities.
During these late-night proceedings, advocate Jada Sravan Kumar refused to argue the case after he found out that Prashna Ravan’s family members had recently gone and met YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Jada Sravan Kumar suddenly chose to walk away from the case. He openly declared that he would no longer argue or fight on behalf of the YouTuber. This unexpected decision by the main lawyer caused major confusion and delays at the court. The family members of Prashna Ravan pleaded with Jada Sravan Kumar to change his mind.
Finally, Prashna Ravan was granted bail by the Machilipatnam court late in the midnight. However, the accused has been taken into custody again in another similar case by Anakapalle police.
